WWII interesting group of ephemera including a rare copy of the Eighth Army News for May 3rd 1945 announcing the death of Hitler and the end of the War, a copy of the Egyptian Mail announcing the Japanese surrender, a group of three cyclostyled news sheets issued to Eighth Army Soldiers in the desert during the war, giving up to date news details, letter from a German correspondent (in English) announcing that Adolf Hitler had become German Chancellor ‘…it would be very fine if you could be in Germany and see how closed and trusting the whole nation in all her parts are standing behind her leader and Chancellor…' together with a typed ‘secret' document relating to ‘Operation Volcano' during the allied advance after ‘D-day' a Red Cross document with two maps of POW camps in Germany and Italy, a closely written diary of an RAF man stationed in India covering the whole of 1945 and mentioning the death of Hitler and the German surrender, and two original posters - one issued by the USA showing ‘Uncle Sam' urging industry to ‘keep turning it out' and the second issued by Russian War Relief showing Hitler and a chained dog.
