1810 The Edinburgh Evening Courant Golfing Winners Announcement - dated Thursday June 21 on Saturday The Silver Medal given by the Honourable Company of Golfers and played over Leith Links was won by John Taylor Esq - see p.3 col.3 - various pen written notes through out, heading partially printed - usual light pocket folds - overall (F). Note the name John Taylor is famous worldwide, a future captain of The Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers whose portrait was painted by Sir John Watson and is in on display in The National Galleries of Scotland.
