Rare 1891 Machrihanish Golf Club "Gold Medal, the Kintyre Club Challenge Vase and The Carskey Cross Handwritten Players Sheet - c/w results incl Strokes, Handicap and Nett Scores - dated 8th May 1891 - including 29 players and won by James Greenlees 84 (+3)!, 3x tied for 2nd A H Gardner 87 (+3), Alex Rae 87 (Scr) and Jas Templeton 87(10) and 5th James Lyon 89 (+5)!! - again 15 players with single figure handicaps and 7 off scr or less - the sheet measures 15.75" x 9" - the Greenlees family were notable golfing family with handicaps from +3, scratch and 3 and that didn't include John who won in 1881 playing off 3 - some family.
