Fabulous collection of mostly vintage British, French, Irish, and wider Rugby Images in Print (c.50, filed): From a major long-term collector of such material, a fine & very substantial A3 ring binder folder with effectively 40 sleeves, filled with some 50 prints, press supplements and cuttings, covering items from 1887 to the 2000, from a glorious French cover of the 1906 Springboks at East Midlands to a large 21st century hand-signed Dall'aglio action glossy; old international match reports & pictures (France h & a), rugby & other magazine covers or full content, including much French with their great photographs and design flair (15 issues of Miroir des Sports alone); a lovely article on Ireland 1951 and on Wigan RL from Picture Post, adverts, cartoons, team photographs, etc etc. The bulk of the material is from c1900 to 1939 and extracted from the illustrated sporting press, for which this was something of a golden age. Much is ideal for framing, has been lovingly kept & curated and, as you would expect, is mostly excellent
