India & Punjab – Nawab of Bhawalpur Photograph A large original photograph by Johnston & Hoffman Photographers of Calcutta and mounted on their embossed board, of Nawab Sadiq Mohammed Khan, the last Nawab of Bhawalpur. Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan V Abbasi 1904, 1966 was the Nawab, and later Amir, of Bahawalpur State from 1907 to 1966. He became the Nawab on the death of his father, when he was only three years old. As a great friend of Jinnah he ceded his territories to Pakistan in 1947. Inscription on reverse reads ‘Came to England in 1912 -1914 with the Atkins family’. Photograph measures 31cms x 19cms, Hoffamn mount is 44cms x 30cms.
