1946 Portrait/pic of Neath & Wales rugby player Rees Stephens: Large 20" x 16" attractive coloured framed & glazed rendering of the famous Welsh Rugby Forward, Schools and Senior Cap, Captain, Committeeman, 1950 British Lion and WRU President, in Wales kit and 1946 Cap. Possibly overpainted on a photograph, very skilfully if so. Presented in 1946 by the Neath Supporters' Club, though interestingly his first full senior cap was in 1947; 1946 saw him in uncapped 'Victory' games and v the Kiwis. Excellent intriguing item. G.
