Rare 1923 Captain Crawshay's Welsh Rugby XV Reunion Signed Dinner Menu – scarce and sought-after single foldover card held at The Queen’s Hotel Cardiff on July 2nd 1923. This now-famous invitational touring side, still going strong today, had only been formed a year earlier but had clearly already developed an eye for tradition with this ‘annual’ event. Neat card with 18 clear autographs in pencil, including the club founder, Capt. Geoffrey Crawshay, and a host of ex-Wales, Lions, Newport and other players, including Harry Uzzell, Paul Baker-Jones, Arthur Cornish, Fred Birt, Reg Plummer, Steve Morris, ‘Wick’ Powell, in whose career the founder took particular interest and toured him when 16, D G Davies, J H Davies, Ossie Male and Tommy Vile. ‘Artistes’ names on the toast page include Powell, Guardsman Shepperd and Hubert Wreford, who also sign.
