Letter from Peter Symons, shipping merchant, Plymouth - Relating the cost to sea of £2,200 for the ship “Thornborough”, to his associate John Tubby in London, who is required to pay his one sixteenth share in this ship to get her to sea, adding “She sent in to us last Evening a Dane (Danish) Brig Laden with Brandy”. On reverse posted to John Tubby, Seathing Lane, London with two postal frank stamps. Size 7” × 9”.
