Pre 1930 Ireland Football Shirt a blue long sleeve shirt with the large embroidered green…

Pre 1930 Ireland Football Shirt a blue long sleeve shirt with the large embroidered green and gold Harp and Celtic Cross emblem, a laced crew neck with the collar tie up possibly added at a later date, appears to be of a wool fabric, stitched internally is ‘The Athletic Store Belfast’ label that is fully intact, there are some holes present throughout, as expected for age, parts are slightly discoloured, but otherwise in good condition. Ireland played in St Patrick’s blue collared shirts from 1886 until 1914. The laced crew neck style was adopted after the first World War until around the 1930s when the FAI's Ireland team (i.e. Northern Ireland) switched from St Patrick's blue to green. Note: Further provenance to the exact history of the shirt is unknown and the funds raised from the sale will be going towards a charitable foundation.
