Perceval Estate archival documentation offered via direct descendants of Spencer Perceval (1762-1812) British Prime Minister (1809-1812), the only to have been assassinated whilst on his way to attend the inquiry into the Orders in Council, as he entered the lobby of the House of Commons, a man stepped forward and shot him in the chest. The lot includes a large amount of documentation, relating to the family, dating back to the 19th Century. Contained within the lot, Part V ‘Histories of Noble British Families with Biographical Notices of the Most Distinguished Individuals In Each’ by William Pickering, London 1844, hand written letters, correspondence and sketches to the Perceval family members, Earl of Egmonts’s Copy Book of Letters from the 3rd May 1737 containing hand written diary type extracts, a Scrap Book containing extracts removed from newspapers and an engraved print of Spencer Perceval, a selection of early engravings, a large stunning 1715 hand drawn Genealogy Record collected by William Hawkins Ulster ‘King of Armies of Ireland’, also contained within the lot are deeds and other notes, an inspection is highly recommended due to the amount of items included within the lot.
