WWII – [Hitler] watercolour of still life of plants, framed and glazed. Signed in bottom right hand corner ‘A Hitler’. We are informed by our vendor that this painting came from the estate of an American Doctor who had an extensive collection of more than 3,000 paintings and etchings. He was known to have travelled extensively throughout Europe during the 1940s-60s. The painting was bought by the present vendor about 10 years ago when the collection was dispersed on the Doctor’s death.
