William and Mary – William III’s first meeting with Parliament The address of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal and commons Assembled in Parliament to the King’s Most Excellent Majesty...in the Banqueting-House at Whitehall, the Eighth of March 1688/9 with His Majesty’s most gracious answer thereunto, folio, 8pp unbound, fine condition. This signified the first meeting of William III with Parliament after his accession. Of particular importance in this meeting was the King’s resolve and Parliament’s agreement for the reduction of Ireland as well as the defence of the Protestant Religion
