American War of Independence ms document entitled ‘New Manner in forming a company in order of Battalion as practised by the Independent Companies in Boston’, written in a neat legible hand on a single side of a folio sheet, providing instructions as to how to form up a company of men ready for battle, with inset diagram as to how the company should be formed up. Scarce. A little weak in original folds, and with slight water staining, one small portion torn from left hand edge affecting two words but otherwise clearly legible throughout.
