Entertainment an original contract for Leslie Hutchinson – the crooner ‘Hutch’ – issued by the Harold Fielding Agency and dated July 1st 1949, printed document with typed and ms insertions, signed by Hutchinson to base. Hutchinson (1900-1969) was one of the biggest cabaret stars in the world during the 1920s & 1930s. The fictional character ‘Jack Ross’ who appeared in various episodes of the last series of ‘Downton Abbey’ was based on him. The contract offered Hutchinson a total of ?400 plus expenses for six concerts in Bournemouth and six in Jersey. It was the equivalent of ?10,000 in today’s money.
