Rare bound Volume number 27 of Baily’s Magazine for 1875 featured inside on pages 138-140 are a contemporary copy of the, “Laws of Lawn Tennis - Revised by the M.C.C.” as issued on 24th. May 1875. The rules continued to adopt the ‘Hour-glass’ shaped court, 15-point games, and the net was still 5 feet high at the posts and 4 feet at the centre. The volume is an ex-library copy with the usually associated markings and some marks and chips to the covers. Included with this lot is a copy of ‘Everybody’s Lawn Tennis Book by ‘E.E.M.’ dated 1923 (2)
