REEL & CASE: Ex rare c1900s William Nightingale Maker (Derby) polished mahogany and silver & plated coin reel, beautiful 4" diameter example, the Makers silver name plaque riveted to backplate quadrant, face plate inset with 8 Victoria & Edward 7th silver coins all domed to sit proud of the reel face, centre silver coin similar in shape, incised rings, relief bust of a Gentlemen , miniature Slater type three brass screw latch releases the narrow drum, silver inner spindle plate held with 3 tiny brass screws, twin black ebonised handles with matching screws, decorative crafted nickel plates with brass screws, backplate fitted with silver plated brass sculpted starback, Edward 7th domed silver coin covers spindle base, brass screws, makers plate W Nightingale, Maker brass riveted to wood, comes with an early shaped leather fitted case with original strap & buckle.
