Hand Signed British Transport Commission typewritten letters on transport Commission letterheads, to Sir Alexander Maxwell, first signed by Chairman General Brian Robertson dated 3rd August 1957, the signed by second signed by Secretary General Llewelyn Wansbrough-Jones dated 8th August 1957 both having interesting content thanking Alexander Maxwell for the report on the British Transport Police he did for them and mentioning a cheque within for 500 Guineas, both in very good, clean condition (2) Note: General Brian Hubert Robertson, 1st Baron Robertson of Oakridge died in 1974 and was a senior British Army Officer and the Chairman of the British Transport Commission from 1953 -1961. Major General Llewellyn Wansbrough-Jones was the Secretary General 1956. In the Royal Engineers he had received training in the L.M.S Railway’s Derby Works, and during the war had held senior appointments in military transport at the War office
