GM KELSON HACKLE BOOK: Being a green rexine covered book 16”x8.5”, gilt lettering to cover “G.M. Kelson - Hackles”, 12 x double sided card pages with velum strips, containing an organised large collection of dyed hackles incl. Cori bustard, black died Francolin, Argos, Eagle, Vulturine, asstd. Guinea, Ibis, green Turacou, Bustard, many varied heron, and others, with hand-written notes by Kelson, reference numbers to Woolley of Manchester, being Kelson’s favourite dye works, many pages filled with yellows, purples, blues, cinnamon variants, the front page has various printed extracts from newspapers dating from 1881-1883, with references to the National Fisheries Exhibition at Norwich, ref to the number of fish caught on the knee cap fly, Usk salmon fishing, Kelson’s own catch records etc.
