REEL: Rare Allcock’s Aerial Unventilated alloy centre pin reel, 4” diameter solid alloy flanges, see through drum, the front flange stamped Patent, 6 spoke with tension regulator and drum release, twin tapered polished horn handles, backplate stamped No 5138 MK11, correct 4 pin smooth brass foot, backplate brass on off check button, internal copper calliper check with steel pawl, drum measures 13/16th between plates, spins freely, no damage, rarely seen example, dating c1903-09. **Introduced as a transition between ebonite drum and all aluminium, few survive, probably as the drum weight was too heavy**.
