Ephemera – A Victorian Tradesman’s stock book a fine example of a tradesman’s stock…

Ephemera – A Victorian Tradesman’s stock book a fine example of a tradesman’s stock book, this for a George Hodgson dated January 1844 and listing a considerable number of items, mostly hardware, including both domestic such as kettles, spoons etc, as well as trade items such as hinges, Patent Illuminators, agricultural items such as sickles and shears, and even leisure items such as Jews Harps, sporting items for cricket, tennis etc. Each entry is written in a very neat hand with prices which have clearly been amended upwards in later times. Original suede binding with brass clasp, a little rubbed with use but interior contents remarkably fresh and clear. 4to. One of the best examples of this kind of stock book we have seen
