Provenance: We have received the following statement from our vendor concerning this painting: ‘This work depicts the Anatomia Humana of the skull and Columna vertebral impressed in a heavy ash and oil fused mass, and was painted by a survivor of this infamous death camp and passed to a Spanish inmate interned by Franco who had survived some fifty months at Mauthausen, Jose Bravo Alarcon, who’s diary has recently been published.
