Golf Weekly – rare collection of “Golf: A Weekly Record of “Ye Royal and Auncient” Game” Vol I-V (1890-1893) to incl the first 5 volumes dated from September 1891 to March 1893 - Weekly magazines all bound in the original publisher’s red and gilt decorative cloth boards showing a gilt vignette of Willie Campbell see p. 408 Vol. 1- illustrated ads, etc. throughout with publisher's printed volume number titles and index at the front in each 4 to - measure 10&frac12x8&frac14, believed to be the earliest golfing magazine, handsomely bound by the publisher, containing all of the major reported historical events, interviews, results, stories and advertisements from the 1891onwards – with 3 volumes signed by Harry Colt collection – such magazines are extremely rare to find and obtain let alone signed by one of the great golf course architects – condition some slight discolouring to the spines and slight wear to the top and tail of spine, front boards are very sharp hence overall (G)
