Helen Wills - collection of tennis photographs and prints - related to and her tennis career in the U.S.A. Forming the heart of the collection are 3x fine photographs by renowned writer and photographer Edwin Levick of New York who contributed work to the Chicago Tribune, New York Times and the New York Herald Tribune. All three show Wills in 1925, but the finest of them is one with her posed alongside Kathleen McKane receiving the trophy and flowers for her United States Singles Championship victory. A further photo shows the match in progress while the third shows her in action with Mary Kendall Browne against Colyer and McKane during the USA's defeat by Great Britain in the Wightman Cup at Forest Hills that year. A further head and shoulders photo portrays Helen Wills Moody (with a new hair style!) n 1932 prior to her visit to Wimbledon. A press cutting showing photographs of Wills at practice in 1924 is also included and an Edwin Trim postcard (T15) of her at Wimbledon dated 1935.
